Change your pricing plan

Learn what to expect and how to change your pricing plan or your Pro plan’s monthly credits.

As a Team Owner, to change your team plan:

  1. Go to Usage & billing Plan details.

  2. Select the Change team plan button and choose and confirm your new plan.

Upgrading to a Credit-based pricing plan from a Legacy pricing plan

When you upgrade to a Credit-based pricing plan from a Legacy pricing plan, your new plan takes effect in different ways depending on which plan you are moving from. You can learn more in the Netlify Usage & billing dashboard.

When you downgrade your pricing plan, your new plan takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Downgrading or upgrading your monthly credits on a Pro plan

On the Pro plan, Team Owners can choose monthly credits that fit their team between these options:

  • Base option: 3,000 monthly credits
  • 5,000 credits
  • 10,000 credits
  • 15,000 credits
  • 20,000 credits

You can change your monthly credits for the Pro plan as many times as you like but downgrading only takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

When upgrading to a Pro plan with more monthly credits, you can expect the following:

  • Your billing cycle resets
  • your upgrade takes effect immediately, no matter where you are in your billing cycle
  • You’ll get a prorated refund from your previous plan (similar to when you upgrade from a Personal plan to a Pro plan)

When you downgrade to a Pro plan with less monthly credits, you can expect the following:

  • The downgrade is scheduled at the end of the billing cycle. You continue to enjoy the features until then.
  • Any unused monthly plan credits, including rollover credits, are removed from your account once the downgrade takes effect. Credits from credit packs or auto recharge aren’t affected and remain available.
  • The billing cycle isn’t affected since downgrading is scheduled based on your current billing cycle.

For example, if you downgrade your Pro plan monthly credits from 5,000 credits or higher to the base 3,000 credits or another plan, any unused monthly plan credits, including rollover credits, are removed from your account once the downgrade takes effect.

Similarly, if you downgrade your Pro plan monthly credits from 20,000 credits to a lower tier, such as 10,000, any unused monthly plan credits, including rollover credits, are removed from your account once the downgrade takes effect.

As a Team Owner, to change your monthly credits for the Pro plan:

  1. Go to Usage & billing Plan details.
