As a Team Owner, you can optimize how your team members collaborate on your team’s projects. Customize project access and assign project-specific roles where needed, manage AI usage, and set up Git-connected workflows.
Customize project access
Section titled “Customize project access”You can customize project access for each team member you invite or add to your team or for existing members. Learn more in Customize project access.
Assign different roles for different projects
Section titled “Assign different roles for different projects”You can give team members different roles for different projects.
This gives you more granular control over who can access which projects and what they can do in each.
Some common scenarios:
- Give a team member the Internal Builder role so they can edit a project with agent runs, while requiring Developer review
- Give a team member the Developer role for an internal tool they manage, but a different role on a project they only contribute to

Manage AI usage across your team
Section titled “Manage AI usage across your team”For teams using Credit-based metered billing with the Credit Pro plan, you can invite or add unlimited team members. However, you may not want everyone to use Agent Runners for every project.
Here are a few ways to manage AI usage across your team:
- Set up a credit limit to block team members from using Agent Runners if your credit usage goes over a certain threshold
- Adjust each team member’s access to your projects to indirectly keep certain users from using Agent Runners on a project
- Monitor AI feature usage
- Add another trusted Team Owner to help you manage AI usage across your team
Connect a project to a Git repository
Section titled “Connect a project to a Git repository”When you connect your project to a GitHub repository, team members can prompt changes to your project with their preferred AI agent using Agent Runners.
From the agent runs dashboard on Netlify, they can open a pull request for Developer review and final publishing.
This gives your team a way to collaborate cross-functionally without requiring everyone to have GitHub access or expertise.
